Value Gurantee

Dear Client,

At knowledge associates we guarantee you, in your own opinion, will be satisfied that you have received real value from us.

If you're not satisfied, you don't pay us, we pay you.

We are not in the business of “borrowing your watch to tell you the time”. We want to add real and tangible value to your business and to your bottom line. Otherwise we become just another one of your expenses and you get no return on your investment in us.

To “put our money where our mouth is”, we have a Value Guarantee.

Here's how it works:

We work in short iterative steps, usually one week to one month long. At the end of each iteration we demonstrate what we have done. At the end of each iteration we send you an invoice. If, for some reason, you are not satisfied with the results we deliver, you may reduce our invoice by an amount you deem appropriate that we should pay you. Of course that amount is capped to the value of the invoice.

You must provide a written explanation for your decision to invoke our Value Guarantee, but we do not question your decision. The reason for requiring a written explanation is that we want to know how to improve our services in the future.

To afford us some protection, you need to invoke the Value Guarantee within one week (seven calendar days) after we have sent the invoice to you. Because we demonstrate our work at the end of each iteration, you will always be in a position to make an informed decision. We do reserve the right to bow out of the project immediately if the clause is invoked, subject to any other overriding contractual obligations we may have at the time.

So far we have never opted out of a project. If clients treat us fairly and justly, we never will.

The Value Guarantee protects you. It ensures that you, in your own opinion, get what you pay for. The clause is good for us too. Apart from alleviating financial pressure on us by improving our cash flow, it mostly ensures that we are always doing our very best for our clients, and that we know what to improve if we do not succeed.
